It is a method I first built on myself, then grounded in evidence, and have since applied to dozens of people.
In 2017 I lost my brother, F. The years after were the hardest of my life. I went through depression and eating disorders, and it took me a long time to find my way back.
That way back was slow. I lost more than 25 kilos on it, and I found out that training, nutrition, sleep and daily habits keep pushing on each other. Fix one and leave the rest, and it doesn't hold.
Somewhere during my history degree, health took over. I studied at Physical Coaching Academy and became a certified personal trainer (NASM, EREPS level 4) and nutrition coach, and I've kept digging deeper ever since. I'm a historian by training, so I went looking for the sources. I've read hundreds of scientific studies on health, so you don't have to. I have years of hands-on experience and hundreds of personal training hours behind me, and I've guided dozens of people to a lasting transformation.
Along the way I kept running into the same thing. The knowledge exists and most of it is free. What people miss is someone who connects it to their own life and keeps adjusting it. I can only do that personally for a small group at a time. So I built an app that does it for everyone else, on the same rules I use with my one-on-one clients.
My company, FD96 BV, is a tribute to my brother F., who was born in 1996.

I am Timon Dhaeze, High Performance Health Coach and certified personal trainer in Belgium, with a master's degree in history from Ghent University. I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, registered at EREPS level 4 and a BAPT Nutrition Coach. I lost more than 25 kilos myself and then built the system with which I've since guided dozens of people. I coach fully online, wherever you live, and train clients in the gym in Ghent.
I obtained my master's degree with distinction. I specialised in prostitution in late-19th-century Antwerp, and I still do historical research today. A historian in the gym is less strange than it sounds: in both fields you read patterns in raw data and separate what can be shown from what someone claims.
As a historian you learn to recognise patterns and to keep digging until you find the real cause. I apply the same method to your health.
A good coach needs more than enthusiasm. This is where I trained, what I am affiliated with and who I work with. Click through, it all checks out.
